Jake expanded his palate this week, adding rice cereal to his staple of formula fortified breast milk. Mealtimes have always been a struggle for us. Jake has never been a big fan of the bottle. Blame it on several weeks of tube feedings in the hospital. He seems, however, to have taken to the spoon quite well. Feeding is still a challenge. Jake gets pretty excited and kicks and flails about and pulls his bib up over his face. I'll take that over the screaming, back arching and puking any day!
