We were really bummed to discover that we left Rat Fink at home. Rat Fink kept Jake company throughout his two previous hospital stays. Aside from being born in the year of the rat, we thought Rat Fink would serve as a reminder of his Brooklyn roots. Rat Fink was quite the talk of the nurses when Jake was in the ICU last time.

Sharkey is hilarious! Good to see some fun coming out of what must be some boring hospital hours. Glad to hear Jake is doing well!
amy - don't know if you will get this a month later... but for some reason i forgot about the blog and now going back i can see a little glimpse of the trauma you went through and the beauty of Jakey.
